Split big STL models into bed-sized, snap-fit pieces

Big prints.
Small beds.
Solved.

PrintSlice cuts oversized STL files into pieces your printer can actually hold, then engineers the connectors that pull them back together after printing.

Open the file, watch it divide

Every cut, measurement, and connector placement happens live in the viewport — no export, no guesswork, no waiting on a server.

From one file to finished parts

01

Drop it in

Any STL, any size — dragged straight into the browser and read on the spot.

02

Draw the lines

Tell PrintSlice your bed dimensions — it finds the cuts that make everything fit.

03

Print & lock together

Matching connectors print right into the seams, so assembly is just pressing pieces home.

Connectors

A joint engineered, not eyeballed

Each seam gets a tab and a socket cut from the same geometry, with clearance dialed in automatically — no filing, no glue, no guesswork.

  • Keyed, pinned, or dovetailed — pick per seam
  • Clearance tuned to your printer's tolerance
  • Solved from the mesh itself, not a template

What's actually doing the work

Reads Any Mesh

Binary or ASCII STL, simple or dense — parsed locally the moment you drop it in.

Knows Your Bed

Set your build volume once — every cut respects it automatically.

Cuts Real Joints

Connectors come from the model's own geometry, not a generic bolt-on shape.

Nothing Leaves Your Machine

The split, the joints, the preview — computed client-side, always.

Built For Big Meshes

Kept fast even as triangle counts climb.

Snaps Together Fast

Parts line up on the first try — no post-processing required.

Before you ask

What is PrintSlice?

A browser-based tool that splits oversized STL models into bed-sized pieces and generates matching connectors so they assemble back into the original shape.

What file types are supported?

STL files, both binary and ASCII, for input — and binary STL for the split output pieces, the standard format every slicer accepts.

How does automatic splitting work?

You set your printer's bed size and a safety margin; PrintSlice computes watertight cuts through the model so every resulting piece fits within that volume.

How do the connectors work?

Every connector pair — the tab and its matching socket — is generated from one shared definition using real solid geometry, with a small configurable clearance built in.

Does PrintSlice work with any 3D printer?

Yes — the exported pieces are standard STL files, compatible with any slicer or printer you already use.

Do I need to install anything?

No. Splitting, connector generation, and the 3D preview all run in your browser — nothing to install, and your model never leaves your computer.

How does pricing work?

One plan at $8.99/month, cancel anytime — no tiers or feature gating. See the full FAQ for billing details.

Stop designing around your bed size.

Model at whatever scale the idea needs — PrintSlice figures out how to print it.
